At the centre of Fabian Dehi's group of works Belastbarkeit is a recurring form. It has the quality of a vessel: an interior, a boundary, and states it carries without naming them. What it takes in shapes it and, at the same time, wears it down. Its boundary is not set in advance. It emerges in the process, from material, resistance and decision, and the same process that produces it also puts it at risk.
In places it closes sharply; in others it gives way and opens the form to the viewer.

Watercolour, canvas, drawing and object are not separate bodies of work but variations of a single investigation. Each medium sets different conditions for the form and brings forth states the others cannot. Since the summer of 2026 the form has also left the surface, taking on volume in sewn bodies of canvas. All of the works pursue the same question: how much can a form hold before its boundary gives way?
